Challenges & Solutions

Key engineering problems I solved during this project.

Legacy System Migration

Led the migration strategy from a Laravel-based website to a React (Vite) frontend while preserving existing content structure and improving visual presentation.

Limited Team Resources

Selected and guided a single frontend developer from an internal study group, providing technical direction, scope definition, and implementation review.

Frontend–Backend Decoupling

Prepared backend APIs in advance, enabling the frontend developer to focus solely on UI implementation and data consumption.

Content Consistency & UX Improvement

Ensured content parity with the previous system while allowing creative freedom to modernize UI/UX for better accessibility and engagement.

Outcome

The revamped website successfully replaced the legacy system with a modern frontend architecture, improving maintainability, visual clarity, and developer onboarding. It continues to function as the primary digital platform for HIMTI UMT communications and activities.
